Simon+Ben are an award winning Director-DOP duo with a passion for telling universal stories in unique ways. With a background in psychology, they have always been fascinated by the experience of others. Often working with non actors, their brand of documentary has taken them around the world to document rare human stories from the last remaining Haenyeo free drivers of South Korea to vigilante protectors of love marriage in India.
They are uncompromising when it comes to film craft and have honed a unique approach to documentary which maximises access through minimal crews, often just the two of them, and gives them the ability to react in hard to control and sensitive situations, whilst maintaining an exacting level of cinematography and visual aesthetic.
Throughout their career, Simon+Ben’s work has won a host of prestigious awards at the industry’s biggest festivals including a Grand Prix at Cannes 2022.
